Aksys Games has announced that the PlayStation Vita cult action RPG <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/tokyo-xanadu/">Tokyo Xanadu eX+</a> is now available on Nintendo Switch consoles. This definitive edition of the popular Nihon Falcom game features revamped localization and includes a plethora of bonus content.

Set ten years after a colossal earthquake devastated Tokyo, the city has been rebuilt and life has returned to normal. However, lurking behind this facade is a sinister secret: the earthquake was caused by the emergence of a lethal shadow world known as Eclipse. Now, action must be taken to thwart the legions of Eclipse and protect the peace.

Gameplay combines fast-paced combat with dungeon exploration and social simulation elements, reminiscent of the Persona series. This includes interacting with various characters and strengthening relationships that impact combat abilities.

The Switch edition of Tokyo Xanadu eX+ offers several extra features. Players can enjoy new scenarios that were not depicted in the main story, including unique tales of the wielders. 

Additionally, new playable characters, monsters, dungeons, and bosses have been introduced. Players can take on the role of the mysterious knight, White Shroud, who wields the powers of light.

There is also a new Boss Battle Mode that revisits battles with various bosses from the main story. The time spent on each battle is recorded, challenging players to defeat each boss as quickly as possible. A Boss Rush mode is also available, built for those who want to survive a challenging gauntlet of powerful foes. 

Fans can purchase an exclusive 4-CD set featuring all 88 songs from the Tokyo Xanadu eX+ soundtrack, available only from the Aksys Online Store.

The game was originally released for the PlayStation Vita in 2015. It was praised for its engaging story, dynamic combat system, and atmospheric soundtrack, cementing its place as a beloved title among JRPG fans.

Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $49.99. It supports all three play modes with a game file size of 6.7 GB.
