Indie developer Gentle Troll Entertainment has released a brand new demo for their upcoming PC visual novel, Tavern Talk, ahead of its release.
The latest demo of Tavern Talk contains exciting new features for players to explore, developers announced. And these included the highly requested ability to pet Andu, the tavern's mascot. Additionally, the demo features never-before-seen story content, allowing players to explore deeper into the whimsical world of Asteria.
Gentle Troll, a Germany-based indie studio, also revealed the release date for Tavern Talk. In a press statement, they announced that they will launch the game this June 20. It can be played on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. players.
Tavern Talk is a story-driven game, inspired by legendary titles Coffee Talk and Dungeons & Dragons. Players take the reins as the owner of the Wayfarer's Inn, a popular watering hole in the fictional world of Asteria.
But Wayfarer's Inn is no ordinary pub. Later on, players will realize that they hold the power to shape the destinies of their patrons, by the drinks they serve. Be it a fiery potion of courage or a whimsical elixir of wit.
Tavern Talk also features resource management and world-building elements. Players can even delve deeper into the mysteries surrounding Asteria.
Not only can they serve up magical concoctions. But the owner of the pub, they can also eavesdrop on murmurs and rumors swirling through the tavern. Along the way, they can gather this information to create quests for other guests.
Outside Wayfarer's Inn, a hidden danger lurks in the shadows of Asteria.
Players can explore the owner's private study to try and piece together the forgotten lore behind the whimsical Asteria.
