<p>The original Republic Commando was actually an exclusive for the Xbox and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/star-wars-republic-commando" title="Star Wars Republic Commando on PC">PC</a>, so this would be its first time the title would be available to the PlayStation and Nintendo. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/aspyr-media" title="Aspyr Media">Aspyr</a> will be the one handling the port, and it’s said that this revival of the game will only focus on the single-player campaign and not so much on the multiplayer aspect.</p>

<p>Just like the original <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/star-wars-battlefront-ii" title="Star Wars Battlefront II on PC">Battlefront II</a>, Republic Commando is hailed by Star Wars fans as one of the best SW shooters to ever come out. While this is just a revival of an old game, some are hopeful that this could pave the way for more extensive remasters of classic titles. Jedi Power Battles, anyone?</p>

<p>Star Wars: Republic Commando will run for $14.99 and will come to the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/star-wars-republic-commando" title="Star Wars Republic Commando on PS4">PS4</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/star-wars-republic-commando" title="Star Wars Republic Commando on Nintendo Switch">Nintendo Switch</a> on April 6.
