Stampede: Racing Royale, the multiplayer racing title, is inching closer to its release date. But before its launch, developers from Sumo Leamington decided to give players another chance to try the upcoming game.

Sumo Leamington and Secret Mode's publisher announced they would open its second round. It will be a week-long event, starting on August 21 and ending on August 28.

In a press release, the publisher and developer said the second Playtest for Stampede: Racing Royale will focus primarily on bug fixes. Other improvements in performance, network connection, and visuals are also expected.

Regarding content, the second Playtest will still feature the same tracks used during the first beta test. However, developers from the UK-based studio added new cosmetics for more customization options.

They added that the full patch notes for Stampede: Racing Royale's second Playtest will be released before the activity kicks off.

In the meantime, developers revealed that Stampede: Racing Royale will launch via Early Access this year.

Our team is working on plenty more content, features, and improvements as we work towards Early Access kicking off later this year, said Sumo Leamington.

The studio also announced its participation in this year's Gamescom on August 23 in Cologne, Germany. There, they will announce more details about the game's launch. They said attendees will also be able to try out the game and bring home exclusive items and merchandise.

Stampede: Racing Royale is a game that combines racing and battle royale. It pits 60 players against one another across three-round eliminator events. The game then culminates in a high-stakes finale to crown the winner.

The game opened its first Playtest last July.
