Daedalic Entertainment has officially announced that their standalone expansion, Shadow Tactics: Aiko’s Choice, will be available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles this December 6.

The game will be released in three different editions: Standard, Deluxe and an Ultimate Bundle.

The base game will be available for €17.99 until release, after which it will be priced at €19.99. For players seeking an enhanced experience, the Deluxe Edition includes the base game along with the Aiko’s Choice soundtrack. It is priced at €22.49 until release (€24.99 after).

Players looking to dive into more Edo-period adventures can acquire the Ultimate Bundle which features Aiko's Choice, Blades of the Shogun, an artbook/strategy guide, and soundtrack. The bundle costs €62.99 until release and €69.99 after release.

Additionally, the artbook, strategy guide and soundtrack will be available separately.

Initially released on PC three years ago, Aiko’s Choice builds upon the deep tactical gameplay that made Shadow Tactics a favorite among fans and critics alike. It plays like a top-down version of modern Assassin’s Creed titles, only with more emphasis on tactics and subterfuge.

It took players into the shoes of Aiko, a kunoichi who must confront her past and her former mentor. Throughout the game, players will encounter themes of espionage, betrayal, and revenge through a series of meticulously crafted stealth missions.

The game excelled in its authentic and atmospheric depiction of Edo-period Japan. It gained a notable Metascore of 83 and a ‘Very positive’ rating from over 3,000 Steam users. On the Whatoplay, the PC version received a playscore of 8.8 from 15 critics and three thousand players.

The expansion will arrive on modern consoles except for the Nintendo Switch. Players can preorder now with a 10% discount on the PlayStation and Xbox stores.
