This first glimpse into Splitgate 2 offered a preview of the game's core gameplay loop. It featured fast-paced action with a heavy emphasis on strategic portal usage. The trailer also highlighted the game's three distinct factions, the newest addition to the Splitgate series. Each faction has its unique abilities and playstyles.

The three factions were prominently displayed in the trailer. And each allows players a chance to tailor their approach to the battlefield. Players are encouraged to mix and match factions within a squad. This way, they can create effective synergies and counter-enemy strategies.

The first showcased faction is Aeros. Aeros is geared towards aggressive players who favor mobility and high-impact eliminations. Their signature ability, Rush, allows for swift dashes. This will enable players to dominate the battlefield. Through precise movement and portal control. Aeros will also be a familiar home for fans of Splitgate's fast-paced action.

For players who prefer a supportive role, they can choose Meridian. Hypersight allows them to detect enemies through walls, providing intel for their team. Time Dome, another potent ability, creates a zone that boosts abilities. These included reloading, movement speed, and firing rate for allies.

The Smart Wall provides a crucial defensive advantage. This will allow players to shield themselves from incoming fire. Coupled with strategically placed grenades, Sabrask offers significant offensive potential and battlefield control.
