Spirit of the Island Set to Release on PC Later This Year

Solo developer Alex Kikuchi (1M Bits Horde!) has teamed up with META Publishing to bring players this new life sim RPG that promises a colorful, animated world.

Have a look at Spirit of the Island:

The official description reads:

Spirit of the Island is a colorful life simulation RPG set on a tropical paradise. Help the locals, grow crops, take care of animals, and turn a desolate archipelago into a prosperous tourist destination!

The game draws inspiration from titles like Stardew Valley, Moonlighter, Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing. It encourages players to help with developing the town and boosting the economy by entertaining tourists. There are also some combat to look forward to, like fighting pirates and small creatures.

Spirit of the Island will be launching its Kickstarter campaign soon. If it gets the funding it needs, a console version will be developed with cross-platform multiplayer support.
