Indie developer Chimera Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Songs of Silence, a fantasy 4X strategy game. It will launch this November 13, 2024 for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S devices.

Songs of Silence combines strategic campaign elements with dynamic tactical battles, brought to life with Art Nouveau-inspired visuals. It is a fast-paced strategy title that takes place in a vibrant, divided world torn between realms of light and darkness.

The civilizations that emerged from these fractured worlds are known as the Starborn. A reborn civilization that aims to bring peace and prosperity to an unstable era, only to face the relentless threat of an encroaching force known only as the Silence.

The game offers an expansive 15-hour story campaign and features multiplayer PvP and co-op modes. Players engage in a massive campaign filled with politics, factions, and a variety of multiplayer options.

They must navigate its war-torn world, forge alliances, manage resources, and lead powerful armies in a struggle to stave off their ruin.

What sets Songs of Silence apart from the other 4X titles is the game’s unique cards system. It allows players to alter battles and influence the strategic map, adding an additional layer of unpredictability and strategy.

For music enthusiasts, Songs of Silence takes its soundtrack seriously. Most of the game’s music is composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, renowned for his work on Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII.

Right now, it currently has a ‘Mostly Positive’ rating on Steam from over 400 users. Players praised the game’s stunning visuals, in-depth turn-based battles, and its overall story. However, others criticized the game’s wonky AI and balancing.

The game is set to release digitally on November 13, 2024, on Steam, GOG, the Humble Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
