Six Ages Sequel to Launch on Multiple Platforms this August

The long-awaited second installment in the hit strategy sim game Six Ages will finally welcome players this August.

Developer A Sharp and Publisher Kitfox Games have unveiled the release date of Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out. It will launch on PC, macOS, and iOS devices this August 21.

The game will also have a 10 percent discount for a limited time. Meanwhile, developers have opened a demo version on Steam for interested players.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out will be a turn-based strategy game like its predecessor. It is still set in the fictional world of Glorantha. But this time, the creators designed it as a ‘stand-alone’ game. This means new gamers can enjoy it without playing the first game in the series. A Sharp and Kitfox Games also confirmed that returning players from Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind can carry over their saved game to the sequel.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out will explore ‘themes of survival, sacrifice, and faith in a world where the laws of physics are subordinate to the whims of the gods and spirits.’

The game is set centuries after the events of the first game. It will take players to a time when some gods have perished and humanity is on the brink of annihilation. Players then must lead their clan through a world that is facing an existential crisis.

According to developers, Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out will contain over 600 interactive scenes with multiple outcomes. Players can also expect a deep simulation system that tracks the consequences of their choices, they added.

The world is ending, and your small clan's survival depends on how you manage its relationship with the remaining gods and their followers, developers described. / ###
