Tokyo-based publisher Shueisha Games showcased its upcoming titles, Urban Myth Dissolution Center and OPUS: Prism Peak in two major Summer gaming events.
Urban Myth Dissolution Center was featured in the Guerrilla Collective showcase, while OPUS: Prism Peak was unveiled at the Wholesome Direct. Both trailers revealed new details into the two upcoming titles before their release.
Urban Myth Dissolution Center is a single-player psycho-detective mystery adventure. Aside from PC and Switch, the upcoming game is also set to launch on Android and iOS. It is developed by Hakababunko, known for its Makoto Wakaido Case Files series. Its distinct pixel art style makes U.M.D.C stand out amongst other titles during the event.
Players will step into the shoes of Azami Fukurai, a detective with the unique ability to see human thoughts and the memories of places through her glasses. She navigates a world filled with cursed relics, dimensional anomalies, and otherworldly creatures.
She helps run the Dissolution Center alongside Jasmine, her psychic colleague. Together, uncover the paranormal mysteries surrounding each case.
OPUS: Prism Peak is a much more mellow experience. It is the fourth entry in the OPUS series which first rose to fame as a highly-rated mobile game with OPUS: The Day We Found Earth. Developed by SIGONO, it offers a distinctive blend of east-meets-west storytelling and a unique 3D art style.
It is a single-player adventure about a weary photographer who stumbles into an ethereal realm while returning to his hometown.
To escape, he must confront elements from his past and find peace through the lens of his camera. Despite its paranormal touches, OPUS: Prism Break is a slow-burn mystery about nostalgia. Its photography-driven gameplay unfolds key moments of the protagonist’s life.
Both games are available to wishlist on Steam. No release date yet.
