Shadows of Doubt, the award-winning detective simulation game, is coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
This was announcement was made during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase Livestream last April 10. This was a first of its kind showcase which celebrates Indie titles for this year and beyond. Slay The Spire 2 and the new Prince Of Persia game were some of the big titles unveiled.
Shadows Of Doubt is an immersive crime-solving simulator. It puts players in the role of a private investigator. Like a Noir movie, explore crime-ridden cities and investigate murder cases. Players can use their detective skills to the test. They can read call logs, scan fingerprints and more.
The game offers branching ways to solve each case all depending on player choice.
Shadows of Doubt's Triple-i Initiative feature also unveiled a content update called the ‘Sharpshooter Assassin’.
In it, players track down a rogue sniper in the 'Sharpshooter Assassin' update. It introduces a brand new type of killer for detectives to investigate. This new case offers new points of interest to explore and perks to unlock.
Part of the update adds a new area to explore called the Echelons. A sprawling gated community full of VIPs. This high-society stronghold is fortified with prime security. Players must find a way to enter by reaching a high social status, or finding more intel.
The update also offers a handful of quality of life improvements. This includes a new auto-travel feature, new conversations, Steam features, and more. The update's full list of content and improvements is detailed in the game's patch notes on Steam.
All of the content included in the ‘Sharpshooter Assassin’ update will also be available on the upcoming console versions.Shadows Of Doubt is available as Early Access title on Steam. It was nominated for ‘Most Innovative Gameplay’ at the 2023 Steam Awards.
The game will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year.
