The birdfolk of Giwi are ready to reach for the stars.
Scorchlands has officially launched after debuting on Steam Early Access back in February 2023. The release of version 1.0 brings new content crafted with the enthusiasm and support from the community.

Solo indie developer Jakub Rogalski and publisher Star Drifters made Scorchlands possible. It is a strategy game where players explore the story of the birdfolk of Giwi, a brave nation that has always dreamt of exploring space.
Their curiosity and community takes them to the moon of Helia. The Giwi will need to transform the barren surface into meadows, forests, lakes, and vibrant settlements. Throughout the game they will be aided by technology and magic. Like bees on a colony, the hex grid allows players to construct various buildings.
The kicker here is that players must build proper structures to optimize resource management. With every next step and new settlement built, terraforming will become more challenging and the gameplay more demanding.
New content has been added to the game in conjunction with the game’s full launch. These include faster building and structure relocation, enhanced models, additional language support, controller support with a special radial menu, and 20 diverse achievements to challenge players.
The game currently sits at a gamerscore of 9.4 on the Whatoplay database, coming from 53 user reviews. It 63 positive reviews on Steam. Players appreciate its unique and complex resource gathering. With its hex base-building designs, some even say it has a touch of 2022's top PC game,Dorfromantik.
