Retro Cyberpunk Mystery 'Read Only Memories: Neurodiver' Out Now!

Indie publisher Chorus Worldwide and developer MidBoss are excited to announce the release of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/read-only-memories-neurodiver/">Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER</a> on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The creators released the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/visual-novel/">visual novel</a> adventure on May 16, 2024.

NEURODIVER takes place in a vibrant, 16-bit-inspired world of Neo-San Francisco. It introduces players to a new story and a fresh cast of characters, along with some familiar faces.

Players take on the role of ES88. A young esper employed by MINERVA. This organization specializes in information science, neurotechnology, and extrasensory phenomena.

ES88’s role is tasked with tracking down a mysterious psychic entity hiding inside the memories of Neo-San Francisco's citizens. Players will explore the reasons behind the Golden Butterfly’s actions and work to stop them.

Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER serves as a follow-up to the critically acclaimed <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/2064-read-only-memories/">2064: Read Only Memories</a>. The original received a playscore of 7.7 on PC. Critics lauded the game’s inventive <a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/best/point-and-click/">point-and-click</a> design. 

To celebrate the launch, the game is available at a special 10% discount until May 22.

For collectors, physical editions of the game will be available on October 29 through Serenity Forge. The Standard Edition includes a physical copy for PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch, an illustrated inner cover sheet, a soundtrack download card, and an instruction manual.

The Collector’s Edition features all these items plus a full-size artbook, prismatic sticker sheet, double-sided acrylic charm, and a plushie of the Neurodiver.
