Rocket Rumble breaks out of Early Access as it gears for a release on May 23. The hybrid racing brawler will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam players.

In Rocket Rumble, players race and brawl in a dangerous racetrack. Players must compete to take the lead by using a multitude of powerups. Collecting power-ups provides an advantage in knocking players off the track.

Achieving first place is not the only way to win in Rocket Rumble. Players can also win by racking up points through their dynamic Points System. This gameplay mechanic encourages unpredictable plays and increases a player's chance of winning.

One of Rocket Rumble’s interesting gameplay designs is the split-screen support. Every rival will be on screen at once. The twist is that players can use them to their favor. Players can knock them off the screen by forcing them to trail behind. All missing players retry at the next checkpoint and must accumulate lost points to come out on top.

“Things can get awfully chaotic with four players trying to stay on the screen without falling victim to the track, the environment, or the shenanigans of their friends..." said Alex Golebiowski, PixelNAUTS founder and Rocket Rumble’s lead designer

"...but we’ve tweaked Rocket Rumble for pure fun, and even if you’re knocked off screen, you’ll never be more than a few moments from rejoining the action and working towards your comeback,” he continued.

The full launch will include 8 unique environments with 6 playable characters. These fresh additions bring more replay value to its party game shenanigans.

Rocket Rumble will be available for $23.99 on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam with local and online multiplayer beginning Tuesday, May 23.
