Retrieval, one of the highly anticipated survival horror titles, just dropped a new trailer.

During the recent Gamescom 2024, developers from 333 studios disclosed more details about the upcoming game. At Future Games Show's segment, they unveiled the cinematic trailer for Retrieval. They also announced that the upcoming game will make its way to PC, PlayStation 5 (PS5), and Xbox Series X|S.

"We are excited to announce that Retrieval, a new cinematic horror adventure, will be released on PC and consoles," creators wrote on Steam.

The latest trailer for Retrieval offered a glimpse into the game's visuals, powered by NVIDIA's RTXDI® technology. Players can expect ray-traced shadows and reflections as they explore its lore.

333 Studios also confirmed that the game will come with 3D audio designed by Wild Cat Records. It will also feature Dolby Atmos® technology. This will allow for 'an immersive soundscape that will heighten the horror experience,' developers said.

Retrieval was first unveiled in Gamescom 2023. In the game, players take on the role of Hana Loshe, a courageous leader of a research team. The game kicks off after the group gets stranded on the distant planet Ryhalian. They need to navigate a mysterious and ravaged world housed within a retro-futuristic base. Players also get to face relentless challenges and terrifying threats at every turn.

Aside from horror, Retrieval also explores themes of friendship, love, and loyalty. "With Retrieval, we aimed to create a truly immersive horror experience that pushes the boundaries of storytelling and atmosphere," said Pau Moreno, co-founder of 333 Studios. "We're incredibly proud of the game and excited to share it with players around the world," he added.

According to reports, Retrieval may launch this 2026. In the meantime, the game is currently available for wishlist. Players can wishlist the game on Steam and in the PlayStation Store.
