Here’s some fantastic news for Resident Evil fans who own Apple Silicon devices.
Capcom recently revealed the launch date of Resident Evil 2: Remake for Apple.
Beginning December 10, Apple gamers can get their hands on the remastered version of one of the series' most popular titles.
Resident Evil 2: Remake will be available on all Apple Silicon. These include the Phone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro models. As well as iPads and Macs equipped with the M1 chip or later.
Resident Evil 2: Remake is the fourth Resident Evil game ported to Apple's latest devices. Its upcoming launch came just five months after Capcom released Resident Evil 7: Biohazard to the App Store.

Similar to previous titles, players in Resident Evil 2: Remake can experience a free preview of the game’s story before purchasing the full version. It also includes support for Universal Purchase and cross-progression. This meant players could carry the saved progress across iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
The mobile version of Resident Evil 2, on the other hand, brings new gameplay enhancements. This included optimized controls tailored for touch devices. The new Auto Fire feature also gives players the option to automatically fire their weapon after briefly aiming at an enemy.
Additionally, the game supports a variety of compatible controllers.
Capcom first expanded the Resident Evil portfolio to macOS and iOS with Resident Evil Village in 2022. A year later, they ported Resident Evil 4: Remake. The Japanese video game company first announced the Apple iteration of Resident Evil 2: Remake last June.
The remastered edition of Resident Evil 2 first came out in 2019. The game introduced players to police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they travel to a zombie-infested Raccoon City.
