Fans of the acclaimed Red Dead Redemption franchise have something to look forward to this Fall, as the first game, Red Dead Redemption, is set to arrive on PC for the first time on October 29.

The PC version, developed in collaboration with Double Eleven, promises a range of enhancements tailored specifically for PC users.

The trailer teased fans with a glimpse of the fictional American West’s enhanced visuals.

The upcoming remaster will feature native 4K resolution with support for up to 144Hz on capable hardware. It also comes with monitor compatibility for Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9) displays, making John Marston’s story more visually appealing.

In addition, players can expect HDR10 support and full keyboard and mouse functionality for an optimized gaming experience.

Tech enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that the game will include cutting-edge features like NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation and customizable settings for draw distances and shadow quality. While these don’t really mean much to an average gamer, their inclusion will bring in players who want to test out their PCs to its maximum potential.

Red Dead Redemption is not the only game getting the remastered treatment. Its zombie-themed expansion, Undead Nightmare, will also receive the same enhancements.

Currently, both Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare are also available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox. Although it doesn't share the visual upgrades compared to the PC release, it doesn’t change the fact that it is a good game. It paved the way for the future of open-world videogames, responsible for making Red Dead Redemption 2 the game it is today.
