Here's some news fans of the shooter genre might be interested. A new, indie bullet-hell title is heading its way to PC this month. And it's a game where players have no safety net to rely on.

Railgunners, a bullet-hell, side-scrolling shooter, will welcome players this September 25. The game will launch via Early Access on Steam, developer Expresso Game Studios revealed.

Expresso Game Studios is an independent game development company based in Brazil.

The Early Access edition for Railgunners will include all its main gameplay and content, developers said. In a press release, they disclosed that they initially wanted to release the game's full version.

But they later decided to put out an Early Access to make room for any improvements as well as build its player base.

The current state of the game is very close to the final vision, developers wrote.

But due to the struggle of long independent game development time, it would be ideal to expose the game to as many players as possible before hitting the last nails, they added.

Developers also said they looked forward to player feedback during Early Access in generating more content for the game. These included new bosses, more mods and weapons, and new game modes.

With the full version, we plan to provide more carefully hand-crafted stages, cutscenes, game modes, and an online score, they explained.

Railgunners promised to introduce players to a different experience on the shoot 'em up genre. According to its creators, the game has no definite 'safe strategy' as it relies on procedurally generated enemy placements.

This design was meant to bolster Railgunners' replayability as well as challenge players to its unpredictability at each level.
