In a surprise announcement today, publisher Humble Games and developer Sector D2 launched Project Wingman: Frontline 59 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2.

Project Wingman: Frontline 59 puts players right into thrilling dogfights and large battles. It lets them pilot futuristic fighter jets in an alternate war-torn Earth. It includes the original campaign plus six brand-new VR missions made for the PlayStation VR2 that add 2-3 hours of playtime.

Players take part in intense dogfights, ground attacks, and intense boss fights. What sets it apart from the original Project Wingman game is the VR support. It makes use of PS VR2's headset vibration, eye tracking to switch targets, and cockpit views to pull you right into the action.

This surprise release takes the popular Project Wingman series to a new level of immersion and excitement. The original game first game out on PC in 2020 and was developed by Sector D2, an indie studio based in Australia. Meanwhile, publisher Humble Games is known for hits like Slay the Spire and Temtem.

Project Wingman: Frontline 59 is now available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 for $29.99.
