Fantastic news for fans of the hit PowerWash Simulator and the legendary Shrek movie franchise.

Publisher Square Enix revealed on September 19 that they collaborated with DreamWorks Animation for a Shrek-themed expansion pack for their hit power wash sim.

Called the Shrek Special Pack, players can buy the newest downloadable content (DLC) beginning October 10. It will retail at US $7.99, and will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The Shrek Special Pack will allow players to tackle challenging cleaning tasks - with the fairytale twist.

The DLC offers a variety of challenging cleaning tasks.

In Shrek’s Swamp, they'll restore the iconic location to its natural state after a mysterious glittery invasion. Meanwhile, Duloc awaits those seeking to remove artistic graffiti.

Fans of Shrek 2 can also visit the Fairy Godmother’s Potion Factory to de-gunk machinery and keep potions flowing.

On the other hand, The Dragon’s Lair, once a glittering treasure trove, now requires a serious cleaning.

As players scrub away the grime, they'll also get to uncover hidden secrets. Finally, players can bring Hansel’s Honeymoon Hideaway back to its gingerbread glory.

PowerWash Simulator first came out in 2021. Upon its release, it has received generally positive reviews from gamers and critics alike. They praised the game with its stress-free, single-player, and online co-op gameplay.

On whatoplay, it received a playscore of 8.5 for PC.

Its commercial success also enabled its creators to roll out over 20 DLCs. Other DLC packs include the Midgar Special Pack, which features landmarks and items from the Final Fantasy series, and the SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack featuring the popular cartoon series
