Third Eye Open follows the story of Ting, a young girl with a unique ability to see spirits. Accompanied by her spectral companion, Xiu, she navigates a world both familiar and frightening.

The game explores Ting's childhood over five pivotal years. In it, players will guide Ting in navigating the challenges and anxieties of growing up with extraordinary abilities.

Along the way, Ting has a tough choice: save her family or help wandering spirits. She also has to deal with awkward, difficult conversations and solve intricate puzzles. At the same time, players have to guide Ting away from the lurking dangers of the spirit world.

Throughout her journey, Ting encounters a cast of spectral beings, each with their own agendas. Some plead for her assistance, while others may hinder her progress.

Third Eye Open will also introduce a choice system that will influence Ting's path and her fate.

Cellar Vault has partnered with Chorus Worldwide in publishing Third Eye Open. According to Shintaro Kanaoya, CEO of Chorus Worldwide, the upcoming game tells 'a captivating family drama, presented in a truly unique Southeast Asian Style.'

Third Eye Open will feature a "paper theatre" aesthetic. It is inspired by the traditional Joss papercraft of Southeast Asia, Cellar Vault said. The story also highlights locations of Malaysian culture and folklore. From bustling morning markets to lively night markets with their delicious Lok Lok and Nyonya Kuih.

Third Eye Open can be played on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox One (X|S Compatible), and Nintendo Switch.
