<p><a href="https://whatoplay.com/pc/paper-trail/">Paper Trail</a>, a game that takes players into a world made of paper, will be available on PC, PS5, Series X|S, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/paper-trail/">Switch</a>, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps4/paper-trail/">PS4, and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-one/paper-trail/">Xbox One</a>. <a href="https://whatoplay.com/developers/newfangled-games/">Newfangled Games</a> announced that they would also roll out Paper Trail for <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ios/paper-trail/">iOS</a> and <a href="https://whatoplay.com/android/paper-trail/">Android</a>.</p>

<p>The 2D puzzle adventure game will debut via Netflix this year, said Henry Hoffman, Newfangled Games founder. <q>We are thrilled to be partnering with Netflix on Paper Trail,</q> said Hoffman.</p>

<p>The BAFTA-winning game creator also said their recent collaboration with Netflix is a <q>huge achievement for them as a team.</q></p>

<p><q>From publishing and helping us reach millions of players around the world, the support they've provided has been incredible,</q> he added. Paper Trail serves as Newfangled Games'Games' first major project. According to Hoffman, development took more than two years. <q>And we can't wait for players to experience what we've been working on when it's released later this year,</q> said Hoffman.</p>

<p>Last February, the London-based studio announced launching Paper Trail on consoles and PCs in 2023. </p>

<p>Paper Trail tells the story of a budding academic named Paige who sets out on a journey to pursue her studies. The game features paper-based mechanics like paper folding as well as hand-drawn illustrations.</p>

<p><q>Paper Trail (redacted) draws heavily from flat aesthetic styles, like printmaking and watercolour, blended to create a uniquely styled game that compliments the paper theme,</q> developers said.</p>

<p>Before its launch, the game received multiple accolades, including the <strong>Best Family Game Award</strong> at Gamescom 2022. It also bagged the <strong>Game of the Year</strong> at Reboot Develop, <strong>Most Innovative</strong> at IndieX, and <strong>Best Mobile Game</strong> at Taipei Game Show. / ###</p>
