Overcooked! All You Can Eat Announces Swedish Chef from The Muppets

Team17’s Overcooked! All You Can Eat is already filled to the brim with adorable characters, but one new playable chef has been on screens since the 70s. As officially announced, the Swedis Chef from The Muppets is now available for free on Overcooked!.

Ghost Town Games’ Gamma Langford also had this to say about the Swedish Chef coming to the game:

“We are huge fans of The Muppets over at Ghost Town Games and to have an icon such as the Swedish Chef visiting the Onion Kingdom is an absolute dream come true. We reckon the original connoisseur of chaotic cooking will find himself in great company!"

What’s interesting is, it looks like the Swedish Chef is the first character on the game to have existed in different IP, so I can’t help but think that we could be getting other kinds of Muppets in the game. The aesthetic of the existing characters already look like they were inspired by the muppet designs, and it would be great if we could get characters like Kermit or Fozzy playable on Overcooked!.

Just in case you didn’t know, Overcooked! All You Can Eat is a remastered compilation of the first two Overcooked! games, bringing the chaotic cartoon kitchen to 4K at 60 frames per second. This remaster also comes with seven brand new levels and three new chefs and will be playable online for the first time.

The Swedish Chef will be available for a limited time only. Play Overcooked! All You Can Eat on Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5.
