One Piece Odyssey, the RPG title of the hit Japanese franchise, is finally coming to Nintendo Switch.
Japanese video game publisher Bandai announced that they will roll out One Piece Odyssey to Switch consoles this July 26. This upcoming Switch game will also have a Deluxe Edition of the game. This means it will contain the Reunion of Memories scenario. Players can unlock this additional chapter after completing the main story.
The Deluxe Edition also includes stylish new outfits for the Straw Hat Crew. Players can dress their favorite characters in the "Traveling Outfits" and the "Sniper King's Traveling Outfit." Additionally, the Switch version debuts the all-new "City of Water Outfits"
One Piece Odyssey first came out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in January 2023.
The RPG lets players take control of the series' iconic characters, as they explore the vibrant world and engage in turn-based combat.
One Piece Odyssey's playable characters included Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jinbe.
The game's lore starts when a storm throws the Straw Hat Crew off course and leaves them stranded on the mysterious island of Waford. While the Thousand Sunny lies in ruins, they must find their bearings and uncover the secrets of Waford.
One Piece Odyssey also introduces players to Adio and Lim, inhabitants of Waford. In a turn of events, Lim manages to steal the crew's abilities. This sets the stage for the game's daring adventure.
Along the way, players will encounter brand new characters and monsters, designed by the legendary One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda himself.
One Piece Odyssey received mixed reviews upon its release. On whatoplay, it received ratings of high 7s and low 8s on different platforms, with a highest playscore 8.2 on the Series X.
