Just after the Gamescom 2024 presentations, Nintendo chimed in with their own set of exciting news and updates. Nintendo took a new approach with their August 2024 Nintendo Direct by combining the Partner Showcase with the Indie World presentations.
The event was kicked off with the independent games showcase. Neva, from the creators of Gris, featured prominently in the Indie World segment. As did Pizza Tower, the highly-rated 2D platformer, which made its surprise launch on the Switch.
The Partner Showcase, on the other hand, treated fans of retro games with an array of ports and remasters of beloved classics.
