A new boss rush title is heading its way to PC and Nintendo Switch soon.
Indie developer GodziPixel will roll out its newest game, Nimbusfall, this September 13. In a press release, the studio announced that they will release the revenge-fueled boss rush game on PC via Steam and Switch.
Indie game publisher DevilishGames had partnered with GodziPixel for the launch of Nimbusfall.
GodziPixel (Daniel Agulló) is an independent developer and pixel art artist based in Alcoy, Spain. Some of his published projects included the webcomic "Chop Chop" and video games like "What a Show!
Nimbusfall promised a thrilling boss rush experience fueled by vengeance. "Dive into a new and thrilling boss rush-style video game where revenge is the only motivation," portions of the game's description read.
In the game, players assume the role of the sole survivor of a race annihilated by a celestial entity known only as "The Moon." Driven by a thirst for retribution, they must navigate a series of 25 challenging boss encounters. Each demands strategic combat and mastery of various skills. Along the way, they must also unravel the truth behind their past and the fate of their species.
The game features pixel art visuals and a chiptune soundtrack, reminiscent of classic arcade games in the 80s and 90s. To find games with similar arcade atmosphere, you can use the Game Finder!
Players can also customize the difficulty with four levels. They range from straightforward to intense. Meanwhile, a variety of weapons, each with unique abilities, allows for strategic gameplay.
Nimbusfall has two modes. Players have the choice to play it solo or local co-op for those seeking a multiplayer experience.
The ">upcoming game will carry a price tag of US $5.99 on both platforms. Players who buy the game on its release day will get a 20 percent discount, DevilishGames said.
