Hotta Studio, creators of the acclaimed Tower of Fantasy, unveiled a new game in development.
The China-based game-developing company announced Neverness to Everness (NTE). Much like Zenless Zone Zero, which is slowly rising on our best iOS game rankings, Hotta Studio's upcoming title is a supernatural open-world RPG set in an urban landscape.
Like Tower of Fantasy, it is also a free-to-play game with gacha mechanics.
Based on the press release from Hotta Studio, the game will use Unreal Engine 5 technology and NVIDIA DLSS. This means players can expect ray tracing in the game's visuals. NTE will launch on PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
A release date has yet to be revealed.
In an article for PlayStation blog, Kee Zhang of Hotta Studio promised to offer a 'unique urban experience' with NTE. The game takes players to the bustling fictional metropolis of Hethereau. There, they will guide an Appraiser who embarked on a supernatural adventure across the city.
"You've likely played city-based games before," Zhang wrote, "but Neverness to Everness offers a Hethereau that's both familiar and bizarre, yet convincingly real."

In Hethereau, players can engage in its environment. The game promises to provide a robust business system, and purchasing property. Players can also buy vehicles to personalize their urban experience. NTE features a selection of authentic vehicles for players to modify and drive, adding a layer of immersion.
Meanwhile, NTE's narrative revolves around the intriguing anomalies plaguing Hethereau. As the Appraiser, players are tasked with containing these anomalies as part of their daily routine. The story unfolds through episodic chapters.
In the meantime, Zhang teased about additional content coming for NTE.
"Neverness to Everness has been in development for a while, and Hethereau has been built from scratch. This city will continue to grow, with more residents and features added over time," said Zhang.
