Mythforce, the new shooter and roguelike game from Beamdog, is set to launch its full version this September.

Publisher Aspyr, Beamdog's parent company, confirmed that Mythforce will launch its 1.0 edition on September 12 on multiple platforms. This also means the game will leave Early Access on the Epic Game store.

Mythforce can be played on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game released an Early Access version on the Epic Games store last March.

According to Aspyr, the full version of Mythforce will contain new content and features not available in Early Access.

These included three story episodes to expand the game's lore and narrative. Players can also expect to unlock more difficulty modes that offer more challenge and variety.

The developers added that they will introduce an improved meta-progression system. They said this would allow players to join and leave online co-op sessions more easily.

Mythforce is a shooter game that banks on nostalgia - particularly the Saturday morning cartoons of the 90s. In it, players experience what it is like to be the star of their Saturday morning cartoon.

It occurs in a fictional fantasy world called the Cursed Lands, drawn in true 90s-style animation. The game will feature single-player and co-op modes. In it, players become the titular Mythforce heroes. They can choose either of the four playable characters to defend Eldryth and a tyrannical vampire lord named Deadalus.

During first-person combat, players can wield weapons and use magic to fight against hordes of enemies.

In the meantime, Aspyr announced they had extended Mythforce's demo version on Steam. The publisher said the game became one of the Top 50 Most Played Demos during Steam Next Fest. As a thank you to the players, they decided to do another round of demos.
