Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients, a new action-adventure game from C2 Game Studio and Versus Evil, is set to launch on PC, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox in early 2024.
In Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients, players take on the role of Astor, a young warrior who embarks on a perilous journey to unearth the secrets of the past and fight for the planet's survival. The game is set in the mystical world of Gliese, which is full of mystery and danger. Astor will encounter abandoned ruins and derelict temples, as well as a variety of memorable and endearing characters.
The game features a rich, combo-based combat system with various ancient weapons and special abilities. Players can build up their combo meter with light, heavy, and ranged attacks, weapon swapping, blocking, and dodging. As the combo meter fills up, players can unleash finishing moves.
With Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients our goal is to create a mystical world full of whimsical characters and creatures, like the fantasy movies we grew up with back in the 80s and 90s,

The Versus Evil team loved Monolith from the beginning, but it was the combat that really put it over the top for us,

The C2 Game Studio team, together working with Versus Evil, is intent on blurring the line between AAA and indie. The graphics, animation, production value and scope of the project were miles beyond what I imagined such a small team could be capable of and we are proud to present Monolith as another quality RPG adventure to our line up.
