Meanwhile, the playable demo for Luto has surpassed a quarter-million downloads across PlayStation and PC platforms. In a press release, developers from Broken Bird Game thanked players for the feedback and support.

Broken Bird Game is an indie studio based in Spain. Luto is their first major project. They partner with SelectaPlay in publishing the game. Titled 'The Choice', the demo edition of the game first came out in November 2023. It was a stand-alone demo that provided a glimpse into the game's atmosphere and gameplay.

Luto is a first-person psychological horror game. It puts players in the role of a character consumed by despair and trapped within their own home. But the path to escape leads through a series of unsettling encounters. Players will have to navigate a mysterious environment. Along the way, they will discover secrets and challenges to overcome.

Based on its description on Steam, the game also explores themes of grief, anxiety, and depression. Blurring the lines between reality and delusion also formed part of its overarching narrative.

The gameplay for Luto utilizes environmental and sensory horror elements. According to its developers, this design was intended to create a truly unsettling atmosphere. This will also allow players to 'confront their phobias in a visceral way'.

In the meantime, "The Choice" remains available for download on PlayStation and PC via Steam. Developers also announced additional language support for East Asian countries. This means the demo is now available in Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
