Left to Survive, the popular zombie shooter game first introduced to mobile devices, is turning five. To mark the occasion, its creators have unveiled new in-game events as well as its latest performance statistics.
Developer MY.GAMES, in a press release, reported that the game had generated over $130 million in revenue and achieved over 63 million downloads. It has also hosted more than 1.5 billion PvE matches since its launch in 2018, they said.
In addition, Left to Survive continues to enjoy a large active player base. As of July 2023, the game has amassed more than 160,000 average Daily Active Users (DAU). Its Monthly Active Users have also reached 1.2 million, the Amsterdam-based studio added.
Executives at MY.GAMES cited Left to Survive's 'well-implemented' gameplay and its expansion to PC behind its success.
Since its launch, Left to Survive has shown great potential thanks to its well-implemented shooter gameplay and the project’s unique feature - the combination of a shooter with a fully-fledged base-building meta,
said Vladimir Nikolsky, CEO of MY.GAMES.
Another part of the success is the game’s active expansion to PC in addition to the iOS and Android platforms, which makes it available to a wider audience,
he added.
Left to Survive first came out in 2018. It combines shooting with base-building, putting players in a fight and survival mode against the undead. In 2021, the game got ported to PC.
For its fifth birthday, developers have special events and features in store for Left to Survive. These included a barbecue theme activity. Players can join in various activities such as construction events, birthday contests, flash codes, and more.
Developers added that players will also have a chance to meet a new zombie and a new hero with an intriguing background.
The anniversary event is live until July 31. / ###
