Korean game developer and publisher Neowiz announced they would extend the demo for Lies of P. As the company stated in a press release, this gives fans and interested players more time to try the upcoming game.
Neowiz kicked off the demo edition of Lies of P on June 9 on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
The event received praise from players and fans of the Souls-like genre. According to Neowiz, fan response to the demo on Xbox enabled Lies of P to earn a review score of 4.3 out of 5 on Xbox.
It was among the top 100 most-played games on Steam's Daily Active Demo Players. In addition, Lies of P became the "Most Wishlisted Upcoming Game" during the recent Steam Next Fest.
Since the release of Lies of P Demo on June 9, we've received a lot of support and detailed feedback from our users, said Neowiz.
The demo version will also remain free, the developers added.
Lies of P is a Souls-like action RPG that takes players on a dark, twisted journey through a Belle Époque-inspired setting. The game reimagines the classic story of Pinocchio as a horror-themed action adventure with gruesome enemies and a challenging combat system.
In the fictional city of Krat, they need to guide the protagonist, a puppet named P, in a world filled with deadly puppets in his quest to find Geppetto and become a real human.
The demo of Lies of P allowed players to access the first two chapters of the game, which included introductions to key characters and even some boss fights, as Neowiz described.
