The hit mobile action RPG The King of Fighters Allstar just got a new update. Developer and publisher Netmarble confirmed rolling out the latest content update for The King of Fighters Allstar. And it's an Orochi-themed one.
The game will introduce two new fighters to the scene. They are Orochi Shermie and Orochi Chris. The two characters formed part of the New Face Team that debuted in The King of Fighters '97.
It's a sinister takeover in The King of Fighters Allstar with the debut of two new fighters corrupted by the influence of the infamous Orochi power,
described the developers.
Orochi Shermie is a Red element or Attack-type fighter. She can summon thunderbolts to strike her enemies. Meanwhile, Orochi Chris is a Purple element. He is also an Attack-type fighter who can unleash dark energy blasts against his foes.
With the arrival of new fighters, players can expect to find new battle cards in the latest update. These battle cards, in turn, will help Orochi Shermie and Orochi Chris increase their ATK and DMG.
Aside from playable characters, the update contained new in-game events, challenges, and content. These included two dungeon challenges in which players can play as XV Orochi Shermie and XV Orochi Chris to earn coins and exchange them at the Exchange Shop. A carnival event celebrating King of Fighters AllStar's 5th Anniversary is also in store.
The King of Fighters Allstar first launched on iOS and Android devices in Japan in 2018. It expanded globally a year later.
The mobile game is a retelling of SNK's hit fighting game series, The King of Fighters. It features a roster of over 130 fighters, including KOF's iconic fighters from '94 to XV.
