While Robin Hood may have gotten the movie adaptation time and time again, we rarely get to see the character in games. Sumo Digital and Focus Home Interactive put a new spin on the character with Hood: Outlaws & Legends. We now have a new gameplay trailer focusing on the first class of character—the Ranger.
Watch this:
Here’s the official description for the class:
While we’ve seen characters who use a bow as their primary weapon, the ‘Ranger’ is efficient to the team in the sense that he can shoot down climbing ropes to access different parts of a map. He can also toss a variety of gear that can incapacitate enemies, and help your team spot soldiers and opposing players.
In Hood, you get to play in teams of four as you attempt to pull off elaborate heists, with each member choosing a class that fits their playstyle. While you can team up with other players, there’s also a chance to go against enemy players as well.
As a multiplayer title, it will be exciting to see how much better it plays on the latest gen consoles.
This is only the first of a four-episode series of gameplay trailers. Watch out for the reveal on the remaining characters.
Pre-ordering Hood: Outlaws & Legends will gain you early access on May 7. The game officially launches on May 10 for the PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
