Good news for fans and players of Homerun Clash. A sequel to the popular mobile game is underway.
Developers from Korea's Haegin on July 29 unveiled the development for Homerun Clash 2: Legends Derby. And here are some of the details they revealed about the upcoming game.
Homerun Clash 2: Legends Derby builds upon the success of its predecessor. This means players can expect a better gaming experience. From enhanced graphics to additional content, including appearances from baseball's international legends.
For the sequel, the game goes beyond solo play. Haegin confirmed that Homerun Clash 2: Legends Derby will have two new modes.
One of them will be a new 2v2 home run derby mode. According to developers, this was designed to emphasize teamwork and strategy. It will utilize a "Target System" that allows players to focus their attacks on specific opponents.
The game will also introduce a PvE mode called the Challenge Mode. In it, players compete against a pitching machine for high scores and global rankings. The objective is to hit as many home runs as possible within a time limit. This mode prioritizes fun and rewards players with special features like "Clash Time" and "Cycling Home Run" for an extra boost in points and playtime.
Aside from new modes, Homerun Clash 2 will also feature additional playable characters as part of its roster. Haegin confirmed that the sequel will allow players to take control of professional baseball icons. This included Dae-ho Lee (South Korea), Albert Pujols (United States), Michihiro Ogasawara (Japan), and Tai-shan Chang (Taiwan)
The inclusion of these legends is further integrated into the in-game experience through features like "World Star" that unlock as players progress.
Adding to the variety, Homerun Clash 2 will also contain stadiums with unique themes and landmarks, along with the return of original batters from the first game.
Meanwhile, pre-registration is now open for the upcoming game. A release date has yet to be announced.
