Capybara Games had launched Grindstone back in 2019 and though it had only been available for Apple Arcade, the game makes its digital debut on the Nintendo Switch console.
Check out the launch trailer:
Here’s the official description:
Grindstone is said to come from the same creators of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Critter Crunch, and Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes; it’s also part of Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase. I guess it’s also worth noting that it got nominated for Best Mobile Game at the Game Awards.
Interestingly enough, the game has a very similar look to that of Adventure Time and Midnight Gospel, but it looks like Pendleton Ward isn’t connected to the making of the game. Either way, Grindstone has a very unique look, and though puzzle games feel like a dime a dozen, this title looks to be worth checking out for the art style alone. The colors are bright and loud, and the creature design looks amazing.
Grindstone is now available for $19.99 USD/€ 16.79/£ 15.09.in the Nintendo Switch store, but if you get the game early, you can enjoy a 25% launch discount.
