Calling all mech pilots and pinball enthusiasts!
The console editions for the hit roguelike, twin-stick shooter Go Mecha Ball have a release date. Creators from Whale Peak Games and Super Rare Originals announced they will roll out Go Mecha Ball this September 26th. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
"We're thrilled to bring Go Mecha Ball to a whole new audience on PlayStation and Switch," said Jonas Ek of Super Rare Originals.
Go Mecha Ball was developed by Whale Peak Games and published by Super Rare Originals. It first made its debut on PC last January.
The game combines elements of shoot 'em up, roguelite, and --- pinball. Its core mechanics feature a mix of win-stick shooting and the chaotic bouncing and ricocheting of pinball. It's a unique combination that you'll probably need the Game Finder to find similar ones.
Go Mecha Ball throws players into a neon-lit world with procedurally generated arenas and rogue AI enemies. In it, players transform their mechs into balls. They can soar through the air, bounce off bumpers, and launch themselves up ramps to unleash attacks.
Players can choose from four distinct mechs to play with. Each has a unique arsenal of weapons and abilities. In addition, these mechs have over 25 destructive tools and 20 quirky abilities.
But Go Mecha Ball isn't just about blasting enemies. It is also about strategic upgrades and progression. The game contains more than 50 upgrades, allowing players to tailor their mechs for maximum effectiveness.
Since its release, Go Mecha Ball received critical acclaim. Gamers and critics alike praised its unique blend of twin-stick shooting and pinball mechanics.
On whatoplay, it earned a playscore of 8.1 both for PC and Xbox X|S.
Go Mecha Ball will carry a price tag of US $19.99 across all consoles. The game is currently available on PC via Steam and Xbox One, with Xbox Game Pass offering an alternative for those platforms. / ###
