Another popular city-building title is heading to consoles. French publisher Dear Villagers confirmed that they will roll out Fabledom for consoles soon. Fabledom will be available for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series.
The game will launch on consoles starting September 12.
A physical release for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch is also planned. Fabledom first came out last May for PC. It was developed by Swedish studio Greena Games. Fabledom is their debut title.
The game is known not only for its charming atmosphere and laid-back gameplay. But also for incorporating several fairy tale elements.
In it, players create their own magical kingdom. The game features a variety of mythical creatures, hidden secrets, and customizable buildings. Players can trade, form alliances, or engage in battles with neighboring kingdoms.
In addition to building and managing their kingdom, players can also find a spouse. They can do so through marriage or diplomatic negotiations. The game also offers extensive negotiation mechanics. This will allow players to form partnerships based on mutual interests or strategic goals.
Upon its release, Fabledom generally received positive feedback from gamers and critics alike. They praised the game for its enchanting world and engaging gameplay.
The game also became the recipient of several accolades and recognition. This included being shortlisted in the 'Best Indie' category during the PAX East 2023. It also got nominated for 'Game of the Year' and 'Reveal of the Year' in the Spotlight Awards 2023 of Game Dev Lisbon.
Fabledom is already available on PC via Steam. The console release will introduce the game to a wider audience. It will carry a price tag of US $24.99.
