One of the most anticipated indie, souls-like titles this year came out earlier than expected
Indie developer Jyamma Games on September 16 launched Enotria: The Last Song for PC via Steam. On the same day, they also rolled out the game's Early Access for PlayStation 5 (PS5).
The Milan-based studio said they moved up the PC release date by two days to coincide with the PS5 launch. The decision served as a gesture of appreciation for the game's dedicated PC community. In addition, this will allow PC players the same amount of time as those who pre-ordered for Early Access on PS5.
To recall, devs initially planned to release Enotria: The Last Song last June 21. But they pushed it back to avoid getting overshadowed by the launch of Shadow of the ErdTree, the lastest Elden Ring expansion pack and currently one of the best games on PS5 and PS4.
Enotria: The Last Song is a souls-like RPG set in an Italian-inspired world. There, a mysterious force known as the Canovaccio has trapped the world in a perpetual, unnatural state. Players become the Maskless One, the only person who holds the key to break the spell.
Then they set on a quest to defeat tyrannical Authors who created the Canovaccio. At the same time, they must also harness the energy of Ardore to free the world from its 'stagnant existence.'
The game features intense combat and a unique mask system that grants new abilities.
During battles, players can choose from the 30 distinct Masks. Each has its own unique strengths and weaknesses. The game also contains 120 weapons, 45 spells, and 8 parry modifiers.
Enotria: The Last Song also has a feature called the Path of Innovators. It lets players customize their playstyle through unlockable skills. In addition, they can also explore a vast, interconnected world, solve puzzles, and encounter bosses.
