The critically acclaimed, action-packed neo-noir game El Paso, Elsewhere is coming to the PlayStation 5 this
Created by Strange Scaffold and published by Nighthawk Interactive, ‘El Paso, Elsewhere’ is a third-person shooter featuring high-stakes gunfights with supernatural monsters akin to DOOM. Its slow-motion combat is inspired by Remedy’s iconic Max Payne series.
In this upcoming PS5 game, layers assume the role of James Savage, a narcotics-addicted monster hunter on a mission to track down his ex-girlfriend Draculae, a vampire determined to end the world. As the story unfolds, players battle through every bloody floor of a reality-shifting Texas motel to rescue his ex’s hostages and confront the villain James once loved.
“El Paso, Elsewhere will be Strange Scaffold’s first-ever PlayStation release, and I couldn’t ask for a better introduction to our studio’s sustainable production principles, unapologetic style, and player-first attitude,” said Xalavier Nelson Jr, the studio head for Strange Scaffold.
‘El Paso, Elsewhere’ is already a favorite among critics and players worldwide. It came out on PC and Xbox Series X/S on September 26 last year.
The PC version earned a playscore of 8.1 on PC with a total of 700 players and 13 critics. It captivated players with its nostalgic 2000s-era art style, gunslinging gameplay and intriguing ‘neo-noir’ story.
Pre-orders for El Paso, Elsewhere are now open at major retailers. It will offer a special physical edition that includes an exclusive poster and a digital copy of the original soundtrack.
Additionally, a film adaptation produced by Di Bonaventure Pictures (Transformers) is in the works.
