Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has finally arrived.

On April 23, 505 Games and Rabbit & Bear Studios released Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes for PC and consoles. The game is now available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch.

Hailed as 'one of the most anticiapated JRPG', the game currently sits as one of the top games on PS5 with a playscore of 8.8 on the platform

On the other hand, the Nintendo Switch version faced initial challenges upon release.

During launching, the game's Switch edition suffered multiple bugs and other technical errors. Switch players complained of frame rate drops, long loading times, and soft locks. Some also reported the game being forced to restart when encountering these issues.

These prompted 505 Games to roll out version 1.0.3 for the Nintendo version. They also vowed to address them 'as maximum priority.'

"We are aware of issues surrounding the current version of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on the Nintendo Switch and we’re addressing them as a maximum priority," stated 505 Games.

Further efforts are underway to address additional glitches in the game. Developers said they are working on another patch aimed at enhancing performance on the Switch.

Developers are also in the middle of creating another patch to further resolve other glitches in the game. The release date for the latest patch has yet to be announced. But 505 Games promised to deliver it 'the earliest possible opportunity.'

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes served as the successor to the classic Suikoden series. It was conceptualized by legendary game developers Junko Kawano and the late Yoshitaka Murayama. During its development, it became the No. 1 Kickstarter Game of 2020.

“Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a fitting and triumphant legacy to Murayama-san’s memory," said 505 President, Neil Ralley. / ###
