Fans of the classic sci-fi novel Dune rejoice! Developer Shiro Games has revealed at Gamescom 2023 that their real-time strategy game Dune: Spice Wars will finally leave Early Access and launch in full this September.
Dune: Spice Wars puts players in control of one of several Great Houses fighting to control the desert planet Arrakis and harvest its valuable spice. Since entering Early Access in April 2022, Shiro Games has released five major updates that added multiplayer, new factions like House Corrino, flying units, and more content.
The new gameplay trailer highlights the blend of 4X strategy and real-time tactics. Gamers can build up their faction's economy, military, and political power over time but must also command forces in real-time battles across the sands of Arrakis.
