A demo version is now online on Steam for the reboot of the 2014 arcade game Don't Die, Mr. Robot!
Infinite State Games announced that they launched a demo for the 3D remake of Don't Die, Mr. Robot! The developers said the game's demo would contain a self-contained version of its arcade mode. It will also include an online leaderboard, the UK-based studio added.
[The demo] will be a timed score attack battle to score as many points before the fruit-trance meter gets to 100%,
Infinite State Games explained. In it, players start the game with the fruit-trance meter at 0%. As the gauge rises, so does the toughness of the enemies, developers said. Your aim, along with trying your best to not expire at the hands of a robotic baddie, is to score as many points... before your inevitable demise,
they said.
Don't Die, Mr. Robot! first came out for PlayStation Vita consoles in 2014. After its release, the game gained popularity, prompting its creators to expand it to PlayStation 4 and iOS devices in 2016.
Players take control of Mr. Robot, a little droid trapped in a fruit-filled dimension called the Neon Dunjun. They must collect fruits, which explode upon contact, to ensure Mr. Robot's survival.
Infinite State Games decided to do a "Don't Die, Mr. Robot" reboot. This time, it will feature 3D illustrations and more modes to play. According to the developers, it took them nearly ten years to recreate the game.
[The reboot was] completely remade it from the ground up in the third dimension,
Infinite State Games wrote in a press release.
