A new adventure awaits in the Lands of the Old Faith for fans and players of the hit cult-management simulator Cult of the Lamb.
Developer Massive Monster unveiled the development of The Pilgrim Pack on August 8. It is the game's 1st paid DLC pack since Cult of the Lamb's release in 2022. Massive Monster and writer Joho Zhou collaborated with Carles Dalmau for the creation of The Pilgrim Pack.
The interactive comic expansion pack will launch on August 12, alongside the free 'Unholy Alliance' update. The paid DLC delves deeper into the lore of the Cult of the Lamb. Developers promised to offer players a fresh perspective on the game's world-building aspect.
The narrative-focused expansion takes the form of a comic book with branching storylines. It features the characters Jalala and Rinor, two pilgrims traversing the perilous Lands in search of a sanctuary.
"In the story of Pilgrim, you’ll join Jalala and Rinor as they journey across the Lands of the Old Faith, searching for a place to call home,” its description read.
The Pilgrim Pack has a choice-based narrative as its core gameplay. It also contains additional content like a new story and two unique quests. The Pilgrim Pack will also have five new Follow forms and two new outfits. Developers also added five new decorations. It also enables players to make choices that impact the narrative.
The Pilgrim Pack will retail at $6.99 on Steam and $8.99 on consoles.
The Pilgrim Pack arrives alongside the free Unholy Alliance update. The upcoming update will introduce the Goat, a powerful new character available for local co-op play.
Players can now also team up with a friend and embark on crusades, slay heretics, and build their cult together.
