Classic Racers Elite, an upcoming title from publisher Funbox Media, will not be limited to PC. This 60s-themed racing game will also be available for consoles, providing an immersive racing experience for a broader range of players.
The UK-based game publisher has entered into a publishing deal with Vision Reelle. It is an independent French studio behind Classic Racers Elite.
Funbox's announcement also confirmed that the game will get PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch editions.
Funbox Media Ltd will be responsible for these platforms' global digital publishing and the physical boxed editions,
a press release stated.
However, the physical versions of Classic Racers Elite will only be available to gamers in selected regions: Europe, Australia and New Zealand, South America, and the Middle East.
The two gaming companies said they would launch Classic Racers Elite within the summer of 2023 or between June and August. However, Nintendo has already started opening pre-orders.
Based on the Nintendo Store, Classic Racers Elite is set to release on June 29, 2023. It is currently priced at US $29.99. The racing title will also be available on PC. But more details of its PC launch have yet to be made public.
In Classic Racers Elite, players will be racing with vintage cars instead of modern automobiles. They can choose to compete using smaller rally cars or F1 icons.
Classic Racers Elite challenges the racing genre with a pure, no-nonsense, traditional racing approach of the era,
developers described.
It will feature 12 championships, 17 locations or a total of 50 tracks, and two additional modes. These are the Free Run and Time Attack. Like old-school racing, the game will have no car customization except for livery. It also does not have setup tuning, social features, and open worlds.
Just back to basics racing with the simple goal of having fun!
