The award-winning sandbox Core Keeper has reached a new milestone.
Creators from Fireshine Games and Pugstorm revealed that the game has already attracted over 3 million players. They described this latest development as a 'massive milestone.' Especially considering that Core Keeper just came out on August 27.
In addition, developers announced that the game has garnered a 'Very Positive" rating on Steam. Over 37,000 Steam users praised its unique blend of exploration, crafting, and combat.
“Core Keeper’s success has only been possible because of the love, care, and attention that developer Pugstorm has poured into the game," said Sarah Hoeksma, Chief Marketing Officer at Fireshine Games.
"And we are absolutely delighted to see so many players enjoying the adventure across console and PC,” she added.
On whatoplay, it received a playscore of 8.7 for PC.
Hoeksma also expressed her gratitude to the game's dedicated community. She highlighted their positive support throughout Core Keeper's journey. In the meantime, she said their team looked forward to expanding the game to more platforms soon.


Core Keeper is a sandbox adventure. In it, players dive into a vast, subterranean world teeming with creatures, treasures, and hidden secrets. They will get to harvest resources, build a base, craft advanced tools, and explore diverse biomes. All while leveling up their skills and battling legendary Titans to unlock the mysteries of the Core.
Beyond the core mining and exploration, Core Keeper also contains other activities to keep players engaged. The game also has farm simulation elements that allow players to cultivate lush gardens and fishing. They can also raise pets, and even taking the wheel of whimsical vehicles.
Core Keeper can be played solo or with friends in online co-op. It also has an online competitive Player vs. Player (PvP) where they can test their mettle against rivals.
Core Keeper is currently available on PC, Xbox, and Switch. It's also available on the Game Pass subscription.
