Australian developer Catchweight Studio and publisher Team17 announced their survival horror game, CONSCRIPT. They also unveiled a new trailer showcasing gameplay for the upcoming game. It is scheduled for release on PC and Consoles this year.

It plunges players into the Battle of Verdun in 1916. The game follows a lone French soldier on a desperate search for his missing brother.
“With CONSCRIPT, I aimed to immerse players in the grim reality of World War 1 while delivering the tense, gripping gameplay that survival horror fans know and love. I can’t wait to bring this experience to both PC and console players later this year and am especially excited to see the game on the shelves.” said Jordan Mochi, founder and solo developer at Catchweight Studio.
The game offers classic survival horror gameplay familiar for fans of the Amnesia series or Resident Evil. It has a unique top-down camera that immerses players in its claustrophobic levels. CONSCRIPT enhances the horror experience with its pixel art style and oppressive sound design.
In CONSCRIPT, players must navigate complex, interconnected WW1-themed environments. Challenging them to scavenge for supplies and solve intricate puzzles amidst the chaos of war. It involves solving environmental puzzles and managing resources effectively.
CONSCRIPT features high replayability levels and comes with multiple endings. Others include various difficulty settings, unlockable costumes, and bonus weapons.
The game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. A physical release for consoles will follow at a later date.
