Astragon Entertainment alongside Team17 Digital announced the release of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/conscript/">CONSCRIPT</a>’s physical copies for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. 

The physical copy acts as a deluxe version of the game, priced at $34.99/£29.95 for the Switch and $29.99/£26.99 for PS5.

The Deluxe Edition includes two digital DLC packs.: The ‘Golden Gun Pack’ and ‘Trench Raider Pack.’ 

The Golden Gun Pack features a gold-plated replica of the Mauser C96 pistol as a weapon skin.The Elite Trench Raider pack on the other hand consists of three additional uniforms, namely the Elite Trench Raider, Pilot and English Tommy outfit. 

Developed solo by Jordan Mochi, CONSCRIPT takes players into the terrifying trenches of World War 1. It is set during the Battle of Verdun in 1916. Blended with a stylistic pixel art style, players assume the role of a lone French soldier on a desperate mission to find his missing brother. 

The gameplay involves intense resource management and solving a variety of puzzles as players fight to survive in a bleak, war-torn landscape. It also features interconnected environments that require careful exploration, similar to popular horror <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/adventure/">Metroidvanias</a>.

<a href="https://whatoplay.com/post/conscript-upcoming-2024/">Originally released back in July 23</a> for Steam, CONSCRIPT was praised for its atmosphere. Most reviewers cited that the horror was not just about the monsters, but war itself. It received a playscore of 8.4 from over 10 critics and 800 players. 

The PlayStation 5 version is one of the all-time bests, receiving a playscore of 8.8 from 4 critics and 200 players. 

The Deluxe Edition of CONSCRIPT is available now for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The digital versions are also accessible on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
