Developers CFK and 21c.Ducks are excited to unveil that their action RPG Chrono Sword is preparing for its debut on Steam Early Access. The announcement also came with a breadth of new information about the game's rich setting and features.
Developed by the Korean indie studio 21c.Ducks, Chrono Sword takes players on a journey through the dark, gothic fantasy world of Adelnor. A land where they must traverse between the past and future to uncover its secrets.
The game offers a fresh take on the Soulslike genre, combining the challenge with its distinctive pixel art aesthetic.
Choices made in the past have the potential to reshape the future, but paradoxes from the future may also ripple backward, altering events in the past. This dynamic interplay between timelines lies at the heart of the game’s narrative and combat.
Players can freely customize their character by combining stats, equipment, and items to match their preferred combat style. Whether wielding a heavy greatsword or a swift rapier, Chrono Sword encourages experimentation with diverse weapon commands and item buffs, testing both strategy and skill in battle.
As players unravel the mysteries of a collapsing world, they encounter other NPC survivors, some fellow time travelers, each having their own stories within the chaos. Cooperation may reveal hidden truths about the disaster, but some allies might conceal secrets of their own. Just like a typical Soulslike NPC.

Originally revealed in 2019, Chrono Sword quickly gained attention for its novel mechanics and art style. It became the centerpiece of a successful collaboration campaign between Kickstarter and Game Round Inc., raising over $70,000 in 2020. Since then, the game has been featured at international gaming events, earning awards and praise for its gameplay and level design.
The team has announced plans to share regular updates highlighting the game's unique elements.
