Chants of Sennaar earned a new set of honors this year. The sci-fi puzzler received nominations from Nebula and Hugo awards.
Focus Entertainment and Rundisc celebrated the awards bodies' recognition in a press release
"[We] are honored that Chants of Sennaar...continues to be recognized for its creative and technical achievements," Focus Entertainment said
Chants of Sennaar was nominated in Nebula Awards for Best Game Writing. It was also nominated for Best Game or Interactive Work at the Hugo Awards.
Chants Of Senaar received the nomination alongside a few triple A titles. The titles include Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, and The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.
The supernatural indie horror game, Dredge, also received a nomination.
The Nebula and Hugo nominations are only the latest in the Chants of Sennaar's string of achievements.
In its launch year alone, it won the Off Broadway Award for Best Indie Game at New York Game Awards. It was also nominated for the Games for Impact Award at the Game Awards.
This year, it was a finalist in Excellence in Design at the Independent Games Festival Awards. It also received two nominations at the BAFTA Games Awards for Game Beyond Entertainment and New Intellectual Property.
Chants of Sennaar is set in a fictional world inspired by the Myth of Babel. In it, players have to climb a mysterious tower. But to do so, they have to understand and decode the language of a mysterious civilization.
Fans can support the game by tuning in to the award ceremonies this year.
The BAFTA Game Awards will be the first up on April 11. This is followed by the Nebula Awards on June 8. The Hugo Awards will be last on August 11.
Chants of Sennaar is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. A free demo is available on all platforms.
Chants Of Senaar received an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ review on Steam. On whatoplay, it has a playscore of 9.0 on PC, earning it a spot on the Best PC Singleplayer Games list. It's also one of the best PS4 games with a playscore of 8.8 on the platform.
